replace the carpet. Nothing will ever completely remove it. Febreeze is a joke for dog pee. Some things you can get at the pet stores can help, but if it is soaked down to the concrete, it will never go away without lifting the carpet to scrub underneath.

I had the same problem. Someone suggested I use vinegar.
I mixed it with equal amounts of water and dumped it on the carpet: VIOLA! No more pee smell, but now my living room smells like a pickle.
Better than piss I guess.

The best i have used is from the pet store. It's called Natures Miracle" you really have to soak the area though, not just a light spray. Or i have soaked the area with vinegar.

We use zero pet odor which can be gotten on the internet and we also just get a cleaner/deodorizer/freshner called OdoBan. Nice scent and no doggy smell.

buy NATURE'S MIRACLE. you should be able to find it at a local pet store. or ask for it by name if you can't find it. it works wonders. my dog was in heat and bled on the couch (she wasn't supposed to be on it but she did it when we weren't home) this stuff got not only the smell out, but the stain too. it works.

the best thing i have seen is a product called natures miracle
it has some enzyme or something that eats the bacteria and "substance" causing the stench, so clean it first with a vacuum or soemthing and then use natures miracle.

sprinkle baking soda on the area and let it set a day or so then vacuum it up. It may take a few times but the baking soda will absorb the odors.

Try Febreeze, and use it multiple times daily over a couple of weeks.
On the carpet--not the dog! :-)

There is a product called Urine Gone- you can probably find it at the asseenontv.com website, or I recently saw it at Target.
