I received a cockatiel from a co-worker who could no longer care for him, and he is now nearly 9 years old. He's very sweet, but no matter how much I repeat words to him, he doesn't respond. I honestly don't think he got much attention with his former owner, as he had no toys or anything in his cage, only a food and water dish. He didn't really start saying much of anything till I gave him toys and a swing. Now he cries to get out of his cage,and is content to sit on my shoulder for hours. Is he too old to learn how to talk?

I have a springer spaniel, lab mix. I have tried everything to get him to stop digging holes in the backyard. We have no moles, or other outside pest. He digs in different spots, and he digs the holes up as fast as I can fill them in. I am loosing my mind and have a hard time mowing as I or the mower wheels fall into the holes. I almost sprang my ankle in one of them. I have caught him and scolded him, and then he will wait till I am in bed to start his digging again.. I love my dog and don't want to get rid of him, but I don't no how much longer I can take fighting with him and filling in holes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My cat had kittens about 10 weeks ago. She looks like she is pregnant again and is getting bigger and bigger everyday. Is this possible? It wasn't long since she last had kittens and was feeding them.

We have a parrot that just does not like me. I don't know why. I've never been cruel to him/her, never had it sexed. The bird is very nice to my husband, but if I walk into the room it will even start biting him. Everytime I've tried to hold the bird it gets a good bite in. While in it's cage, it will start pounding it's toys against the cage real hard, or making a horrible clanking sound with it's beak on the cage, if I'm in the room.

I know that you feed them 3 times a day(I am sticking to the food,the lady had been feeding her on)Puppy mix,that you boil till soft,and pedegree standard puppy cans.I only put a small amount in her bowl,she has about 3-4 mouthfulls,then thats it.She sleeps alot during the day too.I have had puppies before,but not this breed.I would like any info on them(including the above question)would be very much appreciated.Thank you.

Its REALLY hot outside... like 80's or 90's (which isnt that hot, but it is unusually hot for here since I live in WA state) and Im worried that my dogs are gonna overheat. what can I do for them to cool them down.
