The baby is one week old and has grown about 4-5 times it's original size. I was just wondering at what age can they see?,

Cockatiel eyes start developing slits where the lids will open around 8 days of age. By the time the chick is 10-12 days old their eye have fully opened. Sometimes it doesn't look that way because the chicks often keep their eyes closed due to strong light or just because they sleep so darned much at that age :-) . I know with some of my own chicks I don't notice their open eyes until day 14 or 15. If they hold their heads in certain positions you can easily miss the freshly opened eyes. It looks like a slightly thicker lid split, so it's easy to miss. The difference is that it's black and has a slight shine if there's a light behind you.
