Pup is too young.
A mini dachs pup doesn't NEED much feed.
An adult needs LESS than a cup a day-only1/2 -3/4
DON'T MAKE A BLIMP! their backs can't take it!!

She can eat dry dog food. Breeders always act like they use the "baby food" idea so it looks like they care a lot when they only want your money. Now that you bought her (and obviously spent money on her!!!) take her to the vet so you can start getting her the 4 distemper vaccines that she needs. Otherwise, she will get parvo and you will post a notice saying "my dog is vomiting, has bloody stool and won't eat. What should I do???" I have NO sympathy when people spend money to BUY a dog but then don't have the money to take them to get the vaccines!!!!
FYI- Don't call the Vet if the puppy loses "a few ounces" like that person said!!! IDIOT! A few "ounces" is one big poop!! Get real!

puppies are just like babies,...they sleep a lot and like to snack all day long.what they eat during one meal might not seem to be a lot but add it all up and its really more. but think. the belly of a 7 week old puppy is very small so its not going to take much to fill it up.maybe its to interested in everything els going on ...try feeding it in a room with noone els around to interupt feeding time :)

i have a dauschund hound and really canned dog food is not that good for them. dry dog food is much much better for the dogs and their body and their coat.
