If your cat goes outdoors and can come in contact with other animals it will need it's shots. They need a rabies shot every 2 years. It is about $10-$15. They will need their regular vaccination of other feline diseases every year it's about $30. You will have to get it's boosters to start those vaccinations when you 1st get the cat unless it has been vaccinated before. If it has to have boosters they will be every 2-4 weeks for about 8-10 weeks and are about $15-$25 each. Some places have programs for lower income families. You will also want to get the animal spayed or neutered to keep it from running off. That is usually between $45-$75. This needs been done A.S.A.P. after they are 8 weeks old. Do not get your cat declawed if it will go outside. If the cat needs flea medication it is usually about $30 for a six month supply. Heartworm medicine is about $30 for a six month supply. Good luck with your new cat.

Expect to pay between $100-200 a year for checkups and any scheduled shots. If the cat gets sick (and sometimes this happens), veterinary care can cost several hundred dollars for tests and drugs to make him better. Your cat will stay healthier if you keep him indoors and give him lots fresh new water each day. It's not cheap but it's worth it if you love kitties.

Probaby about $100 for everything including office visit. We keep our cat indoors and even paid for a surgery and other things he needed to keep healthy. Toys & food cost money too. If you are that concerned about money, don't get a pet. Also, most outdoor cats will get feline leukemia or feline infectious virus. Then you also need to think about getting it spayed/neutered. If you are that concerned about taking care of the animal, get a stuffed animal instead.

I have found that we have saved $$ by going to a local "feed n seed" store and purchasing the multi-vax shots there and administering them to our cats ourselves. The shot vial only costs $5. At the vets office the same vax would cost around $40. (just keep your reciept/packaging and write date on it when you give the vax as proof to your vet)

Keep in mind that the rabies vax is not available through feed n seeds as it is a live virus.

Best luck with your hopefully soon to be new family member.

Depends on where you are but expect to pay at least $20.00 per shot, your pet will need rabies & distemper for sure. If you declaw it's charged per paw, do only the front. $50-$75 at least. And of course neuter your pet. Males cost less than females. I paid $ 75 to neuter my male & $ 150 to neuter my female.

It depends on where you live but as for us you need to set aside atleast about 300 that is how much we paid but if you get it from the pound it tends to be much cheaper. Nowadays they do have health insurance for pets but the vet you choose will be able to help you with that

it aint that much to give a cat their shots and they only need them once every so many years. I only spend $10 a month for purina cat food and i have three cats.

I keep my cats indoors and don't spend a penny on shots or vet visits. =)
