i have 4 dogs,2 males,2 bitches. both dogs have been neutured but the bitches havent. 1 of the males is 10 and the other is 7yrs old. the 7yr old has attacked the older one quite badly and im taking him to the vets tomorrow. one of the bitches has just come into her first season so i wonder if thats why he attacked him, trying to be dominent over him,but what can i do to stop this happening again? one of the bitches is 9 so i dont want to have her spayed unless she really needs it and the other one will be spayed next year. any suggestions??

she does not walk on her four legs. she doesn't touch her rear leg to the ground. last night I took her out for her usual walk and everything was ok and normal. after that she went to her crate and slept. same routine as every other night. but this morning when she got up to go for her morning walk , I noticed that she is using only three of her legs. i checked it out and there is no sores or any kind of swollening. what could be wrong? she is up to date for all her shots and she is one year old lab/retviever. please help me.

Books and people say that if your cat has a dry and warm nose, that means your cat is sick, right? Well, I felt my kitty's nose and it was dry and warm so I think he's sick but he looks normal. He doesn't sneeze or anything and he just looks perfectly fine.

But sometimes he has a moist nose but maybe it was because he made it wet when he was drinking..not sure though.

They are both female and they just don't seem to be cleaning themselves. I don't know much about birds. But I thought that they cleaned themselves. And if I do have to clean them how do I do that. Can my doves get sick from being wet? I would hate to clean them with water and have them get sick.

Thanks for your help!

I bought my toy poodle about 10 months ago, when she was tiny, she just turned a year old May, I've heard and read in books that poodles are supposed to be very calm and very good dogs, but my poodle is WILD! She is so hyper all the time and bouncing around 24/7. I know she is still young, but is this normal??

There's a racoon under our house, and I hear him fighting with my cats all the time. I'm afraid that he might kill one of my cats. What do I do?

Has anyone ever found small green tube worms in a cat water dish?
I clean the dish weekly and today I noticed something in the water that looked like grass clippings about 3/8" long except the bowl is inside a building.
Upon closer examination I could see the were very small tube worms, I could see the hair thin red body shooting in and out of the green body tube.
These cats are indoor/outdoor.

Jelly is smart , cute, and funny, but he has been farting a lot! He's
almost 2, (in human years) is fixxed, and has all his shots and vaccations(he has a Rabies shot). My mom thinks he is farting because of his cat food(we feed him Whiskas dry cat food). Why is he farting? The house stinks!

He been at my place for two weeks. The first week he was perfect - no accidents, pretty sweet, pretty submissive. Now, he's peeing all over my apartment-mate's stuff (not mine), biting (though, playfully), and generally acting dominant/excited/aggressive. Also, he goes wild when I we run into other dogs on the street. I am trying to leash train him - and teach to him sit etc. He's not neutered - but will be shortly - as soon as he's over his kennel cough...

My cat has a uti and is 17 with renal failure. She has had uti's before. Amoxicillin wasnt enough but Clavamox worked. I went to the vet today and got a bottle of Clavamox. The expiration was 9-05. He said it was a new shipment and he has no other Clavamox. Doesnt know when will get any in. Doesnt know if it will still work. Does anyone know if it will still be useful if I give her a bit more. I even called a pharmacist who also didnt know. They both thought it still would be ok, just a slight loss of potency. Any ideas???

I am new to oscars and I am thinking about getting 2albinos, 2 tiger, and 2red oscars. Will they all fit into a 55-75 gallon tank? Also how long should I cycle my tank prior to getting my oscars? And finally can I put pleckos in with my oscars to help with algae issues?

I have two cats. One is bigger and more dominant than the other. The smaller one tends to lick the larger one's head and face sometimes when they stand near each other. FYI both neutered males, probably not a sex thing. :o)

Is the less dominant cat being friendly, or really subservient, or something else?

one of the baby chicken that my friend's family seems to have broken or dislocated his hip somehow... I was hopeing that someone would know a way to splint or place it back into the sock so that the chicken would be able to live healthy.
