They are both female and they just don't seem to be cleaning themselves. I don't know much about birds. But I thought that they cleaned themselves. And if I do have to clean them how do I do that. Can my doves get sick from being wet? I would hate to clean them with water and have them get sick.

Thanks for your help!

A bird bath is ok if you have room for inside your cage, but if there isnt any room you can spray them with water out of a squirt bottle. That would get them very wet and make them clean themselves sense they will clean their feathers trying to get them to dry. Spray them at least once a day or every other day and they will keep themselves clean. It is up to YOU to clean their cage and keep clean food and water in with them. They cant do that for themselves if they arent out in the wild.

Doves generally prefer to bath themselves in a sandbath. It really is amazing how clean the can get themselves. Offer them a shallow pan with good clean sterilized sand...by them some Chinchilla sand from the pet store and just watch them go.
A little misting with water once in a while to promote their grooming habbits wont hurt eith but i strongly reccomend the sand bath.

Set a pan of water in their cage. It should be about 12 to 18 inches in diameter and about an inch deep. They will bathe themselves. In fact, they should love it!

use a spray bottle of warm water every other day & keep the room warm during the winter time & do it once a week. Saturate them when you spray them, dont just mist a little

You can give them a bath under slow running water, but don't get it in their faces.
