You bet. Use soft kitten food and dip your finger in the gravy and smear it on their mouth...you'll probably see their faces light up. Slowly begin taking the Mama away from them, but not for an entire day in the beginning. If they start eating regular food imediately, still allow them to nurse or the Mama's nipples will swell and grow hard, which is very uncomfortable.

Once they begin eating the soft food, start mixing hard kitten food in with it, then slowing cut down on soft food.

If they want nothing to do with the soft food, try a different flavor/brand or try mixing the hard food with KMR, which is a Mother's milk supplement. Good luck

The mommy cat will decide when it's time to be weaned.
Between 6-8 weeks is normal, but if she wants to go beyond that, the ideal time for re-homing is not before 12 weeks. As for litter training, that starts as soon as they start to eat solid food, which you can attempt to give them now. They will start eating that when they're ready, as well as continue to nurse. (And be prepared, that first "poop" is pretty funny cuz the babies just don't quite know what's happening to them.) Mommy-cat should still be on kitten food, as well as the babies. The mom should have kitten food up until at least the time she weans the babies completely, and the kits should have it for at least 1 year! You can give them canned kitten food and/or get dry kitten food and mix it with warm water so that it soaks up the liquid and becomes soft, then mush it up a bit.

Summary: The mommy-cat will take care of weaning in her own time, and litter training starts as soon as you see them start to eat solid food and/or "assume the position".

At about six weeks, maybe seven. They will continue to go for milk as long as mama is around and allows it. Usually the mother cat will soon grow tired of it and push them away.

Fortunately you will not have to litter train them. They should gravitate to the box and use it. Pick one up and put it in a litter box - I've never seen one that didn't understand.

I FOUND A BABY KITTEN AT 1 WEEK OLD SHE IS KNOW 6 WEEKS! YOU SHOULD START WEENING HER RIGHT KNOW! IF YOU TAKE THE MILK FROM HER BOTTLE AND PUT A LITTLE BIT ON A SAUCER YOU MIGHT HAVE TO DIP HER MOUTH IN A LITTLE BIT SHE SHOULD START LICKING IT! IT TAKES A WHILE BUT BE PATIENT! WITH MY LITTLE ONE I FOUND A LITTLE BAKING PAN AND PUT CAT LITTLER IN IT THEN I PLACED HER IN IT, SHE STARTED DIGGING AROUND AND DID HER BUSINESS! IT WAS AMAZING THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOIN! I READ ON A WEBSITE THE YOU CAN START WEENING 4-6 WEEKS! IT WILL BE EASIER AT THE 5-6 WEEK POINT!@

the litter training can be done right now...however weening them from their mother shouldn't be done until they are about 'at least' 6-8 weeks old.

If you have the kittens and their mother, they will start to learn already. I have 4 5-week-old kittens and their mother, and their starting to experiment. If you don't have their mom, start teaching them now. It's always best when you teach pets as young as you can.

I think the best time to train them is right now. It'll be easier for them if you train anything to them ever since they're kittens (but I'm not sure if they're 5 weeks old). It'll be easier for them when they grow up.
