yes its a very , nice , creative, fun name for your precious bundle of fur. Don't pay attention to what others say about your cats name. The relationship is between you and the cat and Jelly is a wonderful name with lots of nick names to go with the name, like jelly belly, and jelly bean, I love your cats name. Do keep it and have fun with your little jelly.

I name my animals after their personality or parts of mine...I had a cat named Monster and I have one named Freak. Some people think we were mean for naming them that but Freak was a total spaz when she was a baby! I named my puppy Boston because I've always wanted to go there and my first tattoo was done by a guy named Boston John. The moral is....it's your cat not theirs and if you think its cute then IT IS CUTE!!!! You should get two more and name them Peanut and Butter :)

besides, people who really care what you named your cat probably named their something like Fluffy...TYPICAL! Being unique is fun...I mean it's not like you can name a kid Jelly and get away with it!!

It sounds like their so called brains are made of jelly and that is all they can think to do is, cut on someone that felt the bond of their animal and put the right name with that baby of yours.

My name is Susan and I have a dachshund now for 15 years and her name is Suzie. People adore her and always ask why I named my dog after me, actually my ex named her and I kept thinking of different names each night I thought would fit her, the next morning I would not remember what I was thinking of calling her and he would keep saying Suzie.That went on for a week and could not make nothing feel right about the names I was coming up with. You know what Suzie was the name meant for her. She is such a Suzie dog. Go with your feeling of what you think not what anyone else want to make you think.

It's a way cool name! I think pet names should be different, creative, and fun. You definately should get another cat and name him/her peanut butter. Then you can call for PB & J!

I hate common names like Princess, Fluffy, Tiger, etc.

I think its cute. We have a cat named Butterfinger. Had some dogs named Biscuits and Gravy and now have a couple pigs named porkchop and bacon. It's your cat and if you love the name you picked, thats all that matters.

I had a nephew once who was told he could name his new Pet. A dog, which they gave him as a present at easter. He named the Dog "Easter Present". No one said it was a stupid name and the dog didn't really care. We ended up callign the dog "EP" for short and he was a great pet.

No, it's not stupid. What's really stupid is people who feel they must judge the name someone gives to their pets.

They might think it's stupid because it sounds weird but I think it's a pretty good name as long as YOU like it. It doesn't matter what other people want because it's YOUR cat, not theirs. Tell them to get a cat and name them someelse then =P
