When the guy I buy my wood from brings it it is usually wet. How can I dry it out? It sucks having to use it when it's wet and smokey. I do not have heat in my family room - it was an add-on and I have to burn wood for heat. I have to keep it on a covered porch. any suggestions? I Live in PA.

We have one of those molded plastic playhouses in our back yard. Every time there's a strong wind it blows over across our back yard. It just has the four walls so there doesn't seem to be a good place to anchor it to the ground. And it has a slanted roof so whatever I weighed it down with would slide off. It's a huge hassle to drag back to it's place because it is so very bulky.
Those playhouses sell by the millions, I can't believe that they don't have a product on the market specifically to anchor it to the ground.

I have a large 45 in round mirror I actually found in the trash. Perfect condition other than a quarter sized black mark near the border. My mom says its because it's old and thats what happens. Im debating whether to fix up, paint and put on my wall. Weighs a good 35 lbs. But an awesome looking mirror. Any ideas?

For shop classes or something?

I have a small toolbox and set of mixed tools inside that are many decades old and I want to get rid of them. I never use them.

Would a school take them? Or do you have any other suggestions on where I can get rid of them? (don't mention Goodwill or Salvation Army, I already know I can donate there as a last resort).

Or maybe Habitat for Humanity? I want to donate them somewhere where they can actually be used and are needed. Thanks.

My question is about shipping something like a twig. Are there any regulations for this?

I work for a storage company and one of my customers put moth balls in their storage unit. The storage unit is on the inside(climate control as we call it) and the smell has covered the entire hallway. How do I get a moth ball smell out of the air in an enclosed area???? Please help it is affecting my job as I can't go out there and work.
We have no rules about moth balls and want to do all we can to keep our customers so there has to be a way to remove that smell from the air.

If anyone knows what to do here let me know. Thanks so much.

We moved to this house in June, and now we're starting to have an interest in starting a fire in the fireplace.

We discovered last night that the gas key is REALLY hard to turn; so hard that we couldn't even turn it. It had two split logs (purchased from the grocery store), and we shoved newspaper all around them. We had a great draft going, and...nothing. We tried for 2 hours and the logs never caught any fire.

We don't have any lighter fluid, gas or WD40.

Any ideas?
