It's probably okay to have the exterminator treat things while your wife is out of the house. I would avoid her having close contact with any of the chemicals or being present while the treatment was happening.

What you should do is find a local exterminator (that someone thinks highly of and/or recommends) give them a call to set up an appointment. WHen you call (before you agree on an appointment) let them know that your wife is pregnant, but you would rally like to bug issue handled (for obvious reasons) i would put it off though... if you wait.. you'll end up having the baby and still having a bug problem...

the exterminator will probably advise you to have your wife stay with a friend or family member (or hotel) for a few days after (just in case)... but i would defintly get the problem fixed before the baby comes and things get crazy :)
good luck with the exterminator and congrats on the baby and i wish you the best :)

Personally, I would send the wife to her parents house if possible you call in the exterminator.
On the other hand there is a more organic solution for the problem.

Buy, and sprinkle Boric Acid, around all water and drain pipes, radiator, heat register pipes, Walls between adjoining apartments.
The roaches cannot cross the Boric acid and live
But The young wife is not exposed to chemical odors and particles floating in the air.

My house has the same problem. Little roaches are being found on the floor or in little cracks. Calling an Exterminator may disturb your wife, but if you want the rouches out, then get it done with. If you find its from your neighbors, then i'd get them to call an exterminator too.

That depends on whom you want to exterminate, the roaches, your wife or your baby!

If your target are the roaches, just tell the exterminator about your baby and he will know what to do. After all, the roaches are more dangerous to your whole family than the exterminator!

In my opinion you should take your wife out the house for a few days go to a hotel get a room and them call the exterminator so she don't have to danger the baby safety first.

Have her go out for a few hours to air out the chemicals he uses, but i think id rather have the exterminator come, than have a roach family there to greet the new baby.

If you have roaches, sprinkle borax where they are seen ,and into other cracks in wall boards etc, borax is non-toxic to us, but literally cuts up roaches! A Pest control service may not divulge ALL chemicals used in their recipe, and in fact may not even know all the chemicals, I would NOT advise using a pest control service while your wife is pregnant!

yes have the exterminater come and have your wife go with family or friends for a few days. But you might need to talk to your neighbors about them exterminating also.

You're wife should never be exposed to insecticide when pregnant. Inhalation of the fumes can harm her and the baby.

Have her stay at an in-laws house for at least three days.
Cockroaches by the way are gross and can bring a lot of disease into the house, which is by the way, harmful to the baby.
