Keeping it on the covered porch is great,if he stacks it out side put some plastic over it ,when he brings it doe's he stack it for you length wise,,if he does, its not getting any air between the wood,,I would re stack it,,on the porch lay two down Little space between them,,,then put two more on top of them in the other direction,,,like a tic tac toe shape and keep staking them not to high,,you will probably need a few stacks this will let air in between them and dry faster,,I would also bring some in the house to dry for the next night and do that ever night,,,that's the best I can tell you,,,PS tell the guy that you buy the wood from if you wanted wet wood you would go out and cut your on tree down,,lol,,the wood should be dry before he sells it!!!!

I second that. I chop my own wood for the wood-burning stove in my family room. It has to be stored outside.
Go to a Home Depot - this is actually the time of year they'll have this too; hopefully they're not sold out yet - & ask for the long white box that has 2 'U'-shaped metal uprights, black in color. Around $30-35. Now also buy 2 weather-treated 8' long 2x4s - another $5 or 6. The 2x4s run across the ground with each end of each 2x4 connecting to the upright on each end. Now you have something that looks like 4' tall bookends with 2 pieces of wood running along the ground separating them by 8'. Stand this up outside & put something under each end to keep it off the ground; I used a cinder-block on each end to keep the whole thing off the ground. Now you can stack all of your wood on this with the uprights for support on each end. Air has to hit the wood for it to dry. Unfortunately when it rains that causes a problem so I just cover my stacks with a typical blue tarp & tie it so it doesn't blow away. I know it restricts the air from hitting it but it's still good enough.

Stack it up off the ground so air can circulate. I cover the top of the pile to prevent rain from getting on it but leave the sides open for circulation.

Mabe keep it outside and cover with a tarp. Also keep it raised above the ground, mabe use 2x4's to stack it on.
