I have a flat top and I don't think you can really scratch these up. Even the cleaning instructions suggest using a flat edge razor to scrape off the really burned on stuff. I've also found that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders on the glass.
Good Luck

If it's scratches that go down into the glass top there's probably nothing you can do, although it really shouldn't hurt the operation of the burners. If it's on top of the surface, use a razor blade scraper and hold it with the razor blade at about a 45 degree angle and scrape over any place that does not feel smooth. Once you've scraped it try a cleaner again and see if it's helped. I would only replace the top if it actually breaks somewhere.

I believe Snow Bunny. I definitely have a pitcher cook dinner impressive at domicile and after each and each cook dinner up i exploit time-honored dishwashing liquid and a sponge that has the tough ingredient. Then I provide it a wipe with a sparkling sponge and dry off with my dish towel. If there is ever a spill over and something has burnt onto the glass then i exploit a razor blade to take it off and then the scrubber sponge returned. Your close by ironmongery shop could desire to inventory lots of those blades. you only pop the blade interior the take care of and you're stable to pass. Get a alternative p.c.. of blades together as you're there as they do pass blunt after time. it is in basic terms glass. i understand they sell those fancy cleansing products that cost the earth yet they don't seem to be extremely mandatory. i could use my tube possibly as quickly as each and every 2 months and that's it.

You might try an acryllic sealer, but those surfaces are made of hard material and will probably have to be replaced. Ouch!
