i had the same problem a few months back...it is soooo horrible!!!!!

First you need to run the vacuum often and empty the bag or filter in a closed outside garbage. Use the flea bombs again BUT make sure you repeat* after 10 days!!!! They will ALWAYS come back if you don't! For the dogs, you need to get either frontline plus or avantage plus, you can get it REALLY cheap on ebay...less than half price!! For your yard you need to treat it with a product called seven...I think or something along the lines of that.

Also...when you use the flea bombs, take all of your bed linens and wash them, and don't just set them off spray them all around the room before you set it down on the floor...like under the couch, below curtains, under beds...etc. But do it FAST! Try Raid and Hot shot...I used both at once.

Fleas have a 30 day life cycle. Nothing can penetrate the egg or rather, pupae. You have never really gotten rid of your fleas. All you're doing when you use OTC foggers is killing the adults. You need to use something RESIDUAL so that when the eggs hatch those fleas will not continue to reproduce. As far as I know there is nothing OTC you can buy that will do this. I work for a pest control company. We use commercial grade chemicals and we can usually take care of this in one visit.
You will need to vacuum often and wash your everything you can in hot soapy water.
Good Luck

If you have carpet they could be living in it. Try using a flea/carpet powder. Use it every time you vacuum for a month or so until you no longer see fleas. I have hard wood with area rugs, but I also have three dogs and two cat which means fleas every year. I use the flea and carpet powder every season and it seems to do the trick quite well and it kills the eggs as well. you will have to keep your birds out of the room when treating it.

Good Luck

sptfyr,,, has got the answer you need,,,my mother had the same problem and she used (sevin dust),,but that stuff is (harmful to pets and human),,,,,they do make this product at a lower strength,,that can be used inside,,then vacuum,,and it does not smell good,,,(,do not get the 100%strength) unless you use it out side and I did use the 100% under her house,,,,it will get rid of any thing,, and you shoud wash everthing,,, and vacum again, you might want to steam clean aswell.I woud also use another fogger,,taking the cushion of the chairs & couch before using any type of carpet flea killer

If you are in GB call in the pest control officer from your local council. I was nearly driven out of my house last year. Fleas brought in by birds nesting in my loftspace. Don't let anyone tell you bird fleas don't bite people. Good luck.
