For christmas i wanted my partner to bye me a rachel ray knife collection before i found out that it would cost over 200 bucks. so if any body knows some good brand knifes but under 100 dollars i would appretiate it. and if you have the web address i would like that also, thanks so much!!!!!

The difference between an expensive knife set and an inexpensive knife set is that the expensive ones are drop forged while the inexpensive ones are stamped from sheets of stainless steel. A good set of forged knives runs at least $300.
Stamped knives will work well for the casual chef. But, the forged knives have better balance and stay sharp longer. A good set can be had for under $100.
Truly exotic knives are made out of ceramic. They stay razor sharp far longer than any metal knife. These can cost up to several hundred dollars each.

Henkels you can get them anywhere Macys Linens and things--don't put them in the dishwasher it will dull them

There is no good set of kitchen knives under $100.00. Good knives start at $100.00 apiece.
