You can use them, but it won't save you money.

Electricity is generally much more expensive than gas, and unquestionably, electric heat is significantly more expensive than gas heat...It's likely that your electricity bill will shoot up to $300 by switching to electric heat.

Additionally, there are house fires every year due to inappropriate usage of space heaters. They get very hot, and are often easy to tip over, with no safety mechanism to make the heat stop. People die in their sleep when their blankets catch fire in the middle of the night.

I would very much recommend against this.

i think of the reason they are asserting it incredibly is, by way of fact electric heaters use a good number of potential, and a exceptional sort of the cheap lead cords being bought are too scrawny and would overheat and start up a fire. in the adventure that your twine is beefy, and the cord isn't heating and the two plugs stay cool, it incredibly is in all probability ok. you have been using it for a month, if there became a important concern, it in all probability could have already handed off by using now. only in case, i could advise no longer working the heater in case you will in no way be around.

We had a wood stove that burned wood and it could heat many rooms in the house. You have to very careful with the ashes from the stove and keep them safe in a metal container. Make sure that there are no lit ashes. But if you get a good fire going and have a good flue to the chimney, it will burn quite nicely. See if you can find a used one, they're cheaper.

your electric bill will sky rocket. you might be able to save if somehow by placing your space heater near your temp. reading that way it will not turn on all the time. that is what my friend did when he lived in an apartment...hope that helps

By the way, they make enough noise to keep you awake at night.

It will not save electricity.

It has been advertised that electricity will be the highest this year than ever before. I am NOT looking forward to it.

in the long run you aren't saving any money...they will only warm one room and you would have to run it constantly (high electricity and very dangerous)

Keep your heat set at 65-60 when noone is home, and only as high as 69-70 when people are home...tell everyone to wear sweaters!

yes, but of course it would increase your electric bills.

in college we had a terrible house - ancient gas furnace and no insulation. we ended up heating just one room during the day and our bed rooms at night with space heaters.
