I work for a storage company and one of my customers put moth balls in their storage unit. The storage unit is on the inside(climate control as we call it) and the smell has covered the entire hallway. How do I get a moth ball smell out of the air in an enclosed area???? Please help it is affecting my job as I can't go out there and work.
We have no rules about moth balls and want to do all we can to keep our customers so there has to be a way to remove that smell from the air.

If anyone knows what to do here let me know. Thanks so much.

Spray Febreze all over. If it was at home I was going to suggest cooking some cinnamon sticks and vanilla on the stove, but no such luck. You could also try some Ozium. Unfortunately if the moth balls are still there, the smell will just return. Good luck.

oh, maybe charcoal? Open a bag and leave it in the unit.

Honestly, the only way to get rid of the smell is time. My grandmother used moth ball and when she passed we cleaned them all out, however we were stuck with the odor for a while. Eventually the smell will dissipate. You could try and disguise the smell, but it may add to the problem. I mean, just try to imagine some flowery or fruity smell mixed with the moth ball smell...PU
