Yes new locks come with 2 keys. But before you change your lock, read your lease agreement. It may state that the maintenance department can come into your apartment to do routine maintenance (exterminator, plumber, heat & air conditioning guys) If your lease has that clause in it and you change your lock, the landlord can terminate your lease, or have your lock removed and replaced with his lock (masterkeyed) at your expense.

A lock should come with keys, yes. Should the key work with the deadbolt already in your door? No. I mean there can only be so many different combinations of how to make the pins in a lock but it shouldn't work.

Regardless of what brand lock you buy, it will have at least one and probably two keys. You can then get a key made and give it to your building manager. Check first to see if it's OK to change the lock because the office usually has either a master key for the apartments or individual keys for each unit.

I should hope so. Unless you buy a dead bolt lock that locks from the inside only. Brand name is irrelevant.

Yes, the new lock will come with a key that fits the new lock. It will not fit your other locks unless you have a locksmith change the tumblers/pins inside the lock.
