Get a Hudson Bay style wool blanket. Their made for use in the out of doors.
The real blankets are a bit pricy, but when you have and use one you'll know why. Their worth every penny, I should know I've got two of them. The 4 point is good, but if you can swing it get the 6 point.

RE:
What is the warmest blanket we can buy for our outdoor porch in the winter. I mean WARM.?
We have a screened in porch we love, but need some warm blankets for winter. What type of material is the warmest for the outdoors? Maybe something people use for winter camping....

IMO, The warmest blankets on the planet are those 10% poly, 90% acrylic blankets that you can find in catalogues or in super stores around christmas. I've even seen them being sold by road side vendors. They are really inexpensive and I don't think they have a name, but they usually have tacky designs on them like tigers, unicorns, ect. They are a little furry and only come in like a twin size or smaller. They may not be the prettiest, but they trap body heat like you wouldn't believe. I own a very old and drafty house so I have several for the winter months.
Here are some nice ones without designs:

Wool is always good. You could actually buy a sleeping bag that is rated for below 30 degrees and unzip it to use as a blanket. Or you could slip your legs into the sleeping bag to keep your feet nice and toasty.

Wool may be scratchy but it will keep you warm, the microfleece is incredibly soft and warm too.
