The AC leaked all over our sheetrock on the roof and on our brand new carpet. The builder said this happens sometimes and that they are replacing everything. This is our first home and I'm just wondering if this is indeed "normal" to happen. He said theres no way to know if the AC will leak unless they turn it on which they did, and of course it leaked.

I've replaced the air filter, the spark plug, and when I found that I wasn't getting a spark, I replaced the armiture. It is my grandparents' lawnmower, and I believe it's been sitting for about 6-8 months.

I really want to put my flag back up, but the wood on my window frame in the center of the house is soft and apparently rotten. What can I do or where can I attach the flag? I don't have any pillars or awnings etc. It started out looking OK, but then kept dropping. Not getting windows replaced, any other thoughts? Thanks!

I have a 73" x 36" tub and would like a one piece tub surround. So far talking to Rona, Home Depot, and many more plus bathroom renovators.....the only one that can provide me with a one piece surround is Bath Fitters ($3000!!!!) I was hoping to find a solution for about half that amount (or less). I have installed a product called aqua floor (a bathroom product that installed like lino for tub surround uses) in a previous renovation, but, can't seem to aquire that product anymore from my local vendors. Does anybody have an alternate solution for me other than tile or is there maybe even a product that you can apply (like paint or something) directly to the wall, that will work like a tub surround?

I dug about a 2 foot hole close to my foundation for a fence post. As a dug deeper I started to notice clear water trinkling out from the exterior wall of my foundation underneath my basement. I tought I hit a water line but there is no water line in that area and it's not sewage or a drain pipe. Is this water gathered underneath my foundation.

When the well was drilled in Aug.06 I was told that the only I could run it dry would be to fill up a swimming pool.

We can't even do laundry with out running out of water, and our showers have to be super fast!

After spending $3,000.00 to get the well drilled is there anyway we can make the guy who drilled it come back and drill us another one at little or no cost.

He lied and took us for almost all we had. with the lack of rain we've been out of water for 3 weeks. I just want to take a shower in my own home again.

My rental has 60 amp service. When I turn on the microwave when anything else is running (dishwasher or microwave), I blow a fuse. If I turn on the a/c, lights dim. I haven't even tried to iron because I don't know where I can plug in the iron without a meltdown. I had telephone jacks installed at my expense since the landlord had only one working one in the home.

Our garbage disposal stopped working after a disposal dishtowel got caught in it. After several attempts to free the jam, water started leaking from the sides of the disposal. We tightened the screws around the sides. Now, the sides are no longer leaking but it's leaking from the reset button! We called the manufacturer and they said "Sorry, get a new one." but I'm not one to give up so easily. Does anyone know how (or if) this can be fixed?
