Yes I have this table that my wife wants me to re finish becasue it needs to be sanded and re finished to make it look better but not sure how to do this please help. I need step by step instructions. Thanks

what do I do first and what do I do last I need it to look like the end table that I have when I get done.

Not knowing what the end table that you have looks like, we are limited in our responses to how to refinish your large table. However, the first thing you need to do is remove the old finish, and if possible, the stain under it. I have personally had great success with a product called "Formby's". There's a complete line of paint, varnish, shellac and stain removal products available that you may or may not find at a Home Depot or Lowe's or Menard's type store. You may have to seek out a good hardware store, hard as they are to find. Complete instructions on any procedures you wish to accomplish should be with the product you choose. You can wind up with a beautiful piece with a minimum of elbow grease.

Go to Lowes, Home Depot, True Value, whatever hardware store you want and get a liquid stripper( it is the best way to get the stain out of the wood without sanding it for hours)follow the instructions on the can, and refinish with your choice of finish.

get a palm sander , some medium and fine sand paper first sand the piece with medium don't press hard, when your happy with the way it came out use the fine to get rid of the sanding marks. don't press hard.re stain with the same color. dip a rag into the stain rub it on the piece . use another rag to wipe up the access. let it dry for 24hrs take some polyurethane and brush it on let it dry sand it with fine paper and re poly

remove the finish with a stripper...remove the stain and any nicks or marks with sandpaper. match new stain to end tables and apply a polyurethane product of your choice...
