Also, can the irrigation water that is used to water the lawn via the irrigation system, if that water gets into the pool, can that affect the water in the pool as well??

Because the rain throws the PH balance off. You need to recheck the balance and add whatever chemicals to bring it back to balance. I would recommend a cover during the winter or when you know it is going to rain.

After a rain you always need to add shock to your pool water to increase the chlorine levels and prevent algae growth. The chlorine levels drop after a rain. You can use irrigation water to fill a pool but adjust all chemical levels accordingly.

You are right , was it a thunder storm cuz I heard the electricity hitting the water sparks the first, beginnings of a life form in the way of singular cellular algae. My pool does the same or that the rain water is picking up spores in the air

Rain water carries microscopic bits that may carry bacteria and can change the pH of your pool water and also dilutes the chemicals in place.
We always tried to cover our pool if we knew it was gonna rain.
