My home ac system is not working to par. Sometimes it works great, other times it hardly works.

When it first started acting up I had a ac tech come and top off the freon. He told me it was 2 pounds shy.

It worked good for a few days then acted up again. I had the tech come back and he said it was 2 pounds shy again. Toward the end of filling it back up he noticed it jumped back up to 4 pounds over.

He told me that I had an air bubble or some other kind of clog in the freon pipes. It worked again for a while after removed the 4 pounds...

Now it's not working again. The pipes are freezing up again.

My question is Is this common to have a clog in the freon pipes? What will a ac tech have to do to get this cog out? Is this going to cost a lot?

Please note everything is clean, & using clean filters.

The air conditioner runs constantly. we had the maintenence people come over all ready, they had people over to recharge it. they did supposedly. they are also saying that it's normal on a second floor apartment for the machine to run constantly. Does that sound right to you? i mean that's gonna make a pretty hefty electric bill which we wouldn't be able to pay at all. are they gouging us or do they simply just not care? Help

i have a troy bilt 5.5 hp push mower. It is brand new, I have used it only about 4 times, However, I havent used it in the past 2 months or so. I got it to start by putting a couple of drops of gas in the air filter, but it will not stay running. It runs for like 3 seconds then just quits. I am completely lost. Any suggestions?

Today I have noticed that the flames coming from the burners on my stove are blue, and there is orange mixed in. They do everything they are supposed to do, from simmering to high heat, but I think this mix of colors is new, or I would have noticed it before.

Is it dangerous? Should I worry about it? Something has changed in the stove to produce this, so it's a bit alarming.

Well this has been about a 2-3 week process so far. I vacuum but it stirs some of it up and I can never get it all. I'm beginning to think the filter is spitting some back to the pool. I took apart my DE filter at the start of the year so it should be clean still. Am I not putting enough DE powder in? I have 3 kids that swim all the time and I feel bad for not being able to keep the pool as clean as it should be. Need Help!

Someone told me that you have to turn it off because it will cause a gas leak. I was just asking about this because last night when it was raining it seemed like some water was dripping into the vent by the heater. I don't know if I should turn it off and then have the gas company come light it up when winter comes back around.

We've got several holes in several different pieces of our vinyl siding, including one hole in an end piece that fits over the edge of the house. How much will it cost to repair the damage to this siding? (The siding we have is approximately four years old, so I don't think that finding a match will be difficult.)

I have heard that you can just pull off the bad pieces of siding and replace that with new siding... I just need a ballpark estimate as to what parts and labor are going to cost me.

Thanks for your help!

I have just moved house and I know how to operate the dishwasher and it's cycles. It doesn't matter which cycle it's on the dishes come out filthy. The glasses are more noticable than the crockery because they're clear. (well supposed to be) everything has little floaty things stuck to it, it seems to consist of the washing power and tiny particals of food. I have emptied and washed out the filter thingi on the bottom that collects food scraps and it doesn't change anything. There is no water in the bottom of the wahsing machine when it's finished but when it's operating it seems to be working just fine. It apears to be going through its cycles ok but everything has tiny grubby particals on it. I don't use it and hand wash now so we don't get sick. What does it sound like that's wrong with it? Are they worth repairing or should I just get a new one?
Thanks :)
