I live in a 1 1/2 story home with crawl space underneath, the house was built in 2001. ALso I live in North Carolina. My exterrior outlets (3 total) are not working and I am looking for a circuit breaker for them. They do not appear to be part of the main circuit breakers located in the master bedroom. Is there another location where it would be common to find these breakers?

I spilled some gas on the pavement and alittle on the mower. How long should I wait before starting the mower up? The spill was maybe about 1 cup and its a dry, sunny, 65-80 degree day. The container had a leak and spilled while I was pouring it into the container. Also, where is the best place to store gas containers? Is it ok to store them in garages if they are closed properly? There are some gas spills in my garage. How long will it take to usually dry up and be safe to close the garage door? The spills are small, like a cup size. Sorry for the dumb question but my dad never taught me any of this stuff so I am trying to learn it on my own. Thanks for your advice!

We have it on a utility extension cord, but when we plug it in, it blows out the entire adjacent wall.

The building contractor has been paid in full (which was a bad move) and I feel he doesn't have any incentive to come back and finish the job, plus take care of things that weren't done right the first time. FYI - the job was to put all new windows in the home, cover the home in new siding, put a new metal roof on the home, and a few other extra things. We have had siding pieces that just fall off (no wind or rain that would have ripped it off). It just simply fell off. Their answer to repairing it, is to just use screws. The screws are put in on the outside of the siding and are exposed. It doesn't look right.

The contractor and the siding company are ignoring my calls and I don't know what to do. HELP!

The kind that empties itself, with a digital readout. I want to buy it as a Fathers day gift so it has to be an actual store (not online).

Sorry if this has been asked before-I tried to find an answer to my problem..........The outside unit is running. The inside unit is running. There is no or very, very little air coming out of any of the vents in the house. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I don't know if this matters but we change the filters once a month or every other month at the most. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Is it cheaper to have electricity throughout an ENTIRE APARTMENT, where at any given time, the only things running are a lamp, the TV, the DVD player, a fan, and a laptop (a total of 5 things, give or take.) or is it cheaper to run it all off of one surge protector?

I'm attempting to prove a point to my mother that it would benefit her more to turn the electricity on in the upstairs apartment where I'm living for the summer as opposed to running everything on ONE surge protector for the entire apartment.

So which is cheaper, electricity completely, or a surge protector that, according to my mother, is "drawing on the power from downstairs and dimming the lights"?

Yesterday I tried to plug in my pool filter into the electrical outlet that is linked to the house on a stand next to the pool. For some reason, the outlet isn't working any longer. I tried the test and reset buttons, and nothing. I bought a medium grade 100 foot extension cord to use temporarily, so I can just run it into another outlet in the garage. I am wondering if I should call an electrician and what kind of job this would become... cost? Do you think they would have to redo all of the wiring? That seems like a big job to me. I plan to sell my house in about 8 months. Do you think that people would be not inclined to buy the house because the outlet next to the pool does not work? The outlet has underground wiring that runs about 75 feet.

i was a bit drunk one night when i misplaced my roomkey. the landlady didn't have a spare key. i was thinking a door knob should have two keys, shouldn't it? there's no other way but to ask a housemate for a help. He went upstairs through a ladder from outside. he went inside my room through the window and opened my door..after a few minutes, i decided to lock my door so i could sleep but the door knob wasn't working at all...it was broken...i had no idea why...perhaps if the landlady had her spare key, it wouldn't be like that...she wanted me to buy a new one...it's okay with me to buy a new one but do i have the right to ask a share from her? i want to transfer to another boarding house soon...
