Will you be running the home AC all the time, or just a little while? Will the window unit be running all the time, or just a little while? Are you trying to cool a room so that you can see your breath, or just take it down a few degrees?
You need some more specifics before you can get a decent answer.
A window unit cooling a single room for only a short period of time will use less energy.
A split AC will make the home feel cooler, but use more energy.
If you are comparing a split ductless A/C, look for similar size Btu or Tonnage ratings; check the wattage consumption rating and the SEER rating to compare energy usage more accurately.

in case you're working 3 "super" followers each and every of the time you'll be ingesting 10-15 amps each and every of the time. you may get a AC which will devour a similar 10-15 amps and you condominium gets intense high quality and funky. The followers pass air around they do no longer cool per se. in fact they burn up warmth into the gap probably raising the temperature. the three followers are probable a waste. you may as properly get an AC and pay slightly greater for ability than shop all 3 followers on for with reference to a similar funds and get little alleviation. yet another decision is get a smaller AC and a smaller oscillating fan. the only AC will make cool air and the fan might help in facilitating the bypass to different area(s) of the apt.

If you are comparing total cooling with energy consumpsion, a window unit uses more electricity to do the same job (AND you need multiple units to cool the whole house) but if you are asking which one pulls more elec. when it's running... Obviously the central unit does...... Bigger compressor, larger fan motor- MULTIPLE fan motors.....
If this isn't what you're looking for in an answer, PLEASE modify your question......
