Do I have any rights in common law to force him to remove this wall? My external wall is in desperate need of repointing or rendering, but I can't now get at it to do this.

Our retail space has a Electric circuit breaker, which can control all in our space and also some basement, which is not our space. There was huge increase in our utility bill recently and doubting that someone in basement maybe used our electricity. Some plugs in basedment doesn't work if we turn our breaker's switch off. Is this means we are paying electricity for someone when they use these plugs in basement? If not, any other way to investigate this matter?

If I want to take a 20 minute shower, I would be standing in freezing water for the last 5 minutes. I am not sure if there is an adjustment I can make or if it's just because of the older plumming.

Im young and this is the first house for me and first time out of my parents house. Their house is newer and we would have hot water left after all 5 people showered.

why are UK homes made so small, stretch, narrow with little worm size stairs when half of the culture is over-weight and wide to pass a door? Busses, trains, homes, all made so small, and yet everybody is bigger than the culture I am. We have big homes and things are bigger, and yet we are petite.

My fridge is about 4 years old and is a GE. I just noticed today that it is not keeping things very cold. It is keeping them cold enough that they are not spoiling but still it isn't very cold. I do have it turned up all the way to 9, and the freezer side seems to be doing just fine.
Help please!

I've been offered a 3 year old pool set up for free. I'm trying to decide if I can afford the maintenance, electricity, chemicals, etc. Can anyone give me some approximate costs. I'm in middle Tennessee, it would not be heated.

Here are the details:

1. The bowl at rest seems to be full of more water than it should.
2. When you flush it, it very slowly, weakly, begins to spiral and then exit through the bottom.
3. It never fully exits...it kind of pools around the exit - I can't tell if it's just because not all of the water is exiting, or it's filling so fast that it can't all exit. Whatever the reason, it pools near the exit at the end of the flush process.
4. It doesn't seem that the exit is blocked. It passes normal sized payloads alright, but if the payload is a bit larger - nothing a normal toilet would have a problem with - it does have a problem.

That's about it. I hope someone can help me with this. Maybe it's a combination of things - tank level, water cut off level, etc.

The toilet is almost overflowing as it flushes.I checked to see if there was any blockage but found nothing.Over time the level of water decreased in the toilet to almost nothing. Also the shower is involved because the water did not properly drain as i took a shower.I would rather not have to go to a plumber.

In my box in the wall, I have two white wires wire nutted together, I also have two black wires, one going to the base board heater, and the other to power source. Can I put the two red wires with the black wire to power source, and the black wires with the wire going to the base board heater? The thermostat is heat only, and is rated for 125/240/277.

The stairs run up the outside wall of the house, with a wall on the other side. I wouldl ike to open it up for better air circulation. Can I remove the inside wall if i leave the supports in place because I assume this is a support wall? I only want to go down to the edge of the steps, leaving the bottom part of the wall intack.

One night my neighbor was outside with flashlight near his electric meter. I know him fairly well & walked over to see him fiddling around with the interior dials. The glass cover was completely off!!!!! I asked what the hell he was doing and he told me I better not tell anyone. I agreed and he taught me everything he knew. This guy was saving thousands a year!!!

I tuned mine back shortly afterward but ran into a problem as the little pointer needle for the '100 KPH' broke right off when I tried to turn it backwards. There is definitely no way to get it back on there are even some weird coils sticking out now. To make matters worse all the other dials seem to be moving faster now (I assume charging me more). I put the cover back on but am worried. My neighbor is vacationing in Europe for the next 3 weeks so he can't help me.

How do I fix this? Are there any electricians that can help me with an answer? Actually anyone that can help me?
