I have a natural gas barbeque and a gas line already built coming out of the back of my house. I need someone to connect the barbeque to the gas line but I can't seem to find any contractor who does this type of thing.

Any heating and plumbing contractor can do it - they have much more experience with gas to be able to get you the proper adaptors - which you probably will need

I'm not sure what state your in, But, in Illinios we use the Heating contractors. (HVAC) They install the gas lines on the consumer side of the meter. The gas company services the line to the meter. Also, you could contact a bottled gas company.

A licensed plumber is certified to work on gas lines. Call some plumbers and get a few quotes

Any general contractor should be able to handle this type of thing. There are many homeowners who can do this, as it isn't complicated.

However, if you have never worked with gas, don't attempt it!!

Check with your neighbors, and see if they have any references.

Good Luck!!

A plumber does this type of work. I know you don't associate a plumber with natural gas hook up, but yes they definately do it. It is definately not a do it yourself job. for a plumber it is a simple job, they will use black iron pipe which is rated to handle "Natural Gas".

We had the same dilemma - when we purchased our new grill from Lowe's, we installed it our selves. Its very simple connect the valves & use teflon to seal. I don't know if a contractor will do that.
