Can I and should I seal the new laminate wood flooring just installed in my bathroom with polyurethane?

Besides one being real wood and the other being fake wood. What is the difference? I'm deciding on installing real hardwood or laminate. I don't want to particpate in destorying the rainforest so I perfer using laminate. If anyone has used laminate before please let me know if you like it and did you install it yourself? I need it installed on my stairs as well.

I am going to remodel my room and paint it candy pink. Should my bed and other furniture be black or white????? I was even thinking of getting my computer desk, dresser and bookcase a baby pink. Would that be too much???? Pleas help!!!!

Hi!!

My friend is doing a wedding reception for his sister and her husband. He asked me for help about decorating the place. I gave him a few ideas but we still would like more ideas though.

So far, we decided on food, music, and making our own centerpieces for the tables (round). But the hall is dark with no windows (it's in a church) and we want to decorate it like lighting, tulle, balloons, and maybe flowers (but prob not b/c of budget). We were wondering if anyone of u guys have some ideas abt how to decorate the room though since the color of wall is just this: http://www.tri-valley.k12.il.us/sjones/plywood.jpg

We can't go beyond the limit of like $1000 and would like to cut down expenses whenever we can. And plz keep in mind, that we are the only ones doing the decoration not some wedding planners, etc.

So guys, do you have any ideas about how to decorate this? Any other ideas/tips would help too ^_^

PS: we were thinking abt having red and either white/tan color for tables

i have an idea in my head of how i want to decorate my room, i know this type of theme has a name ( or at least i think it does :S ). The colour scheme is default bright pink and darkish green (or vice versa) and one of the items is a lcd pink flamingo wall light and kind of coloured frosted glass ornaments. Ok, I'm in my office and some candles that smell like concentrated dish detergent are wafting their overwhelming odors in my direction.

I'm about to puke.

Does anyone else get sick from these super strong candles? I got so many scented candles for christmas my house smells like Pier 1 and it's driving me crazy.

What's with this craze anyway? Is the whole world in a rotten funk? Why do we need these things around?

I just applied a "library red" color to my wall which looks pretty depressing so I want to buy a new lighter color instead...can I apply it directly on top of the red?

Using blue painter's tape would take about 24 rolls to tape both sides of the 2 in lines. Since it's for a school, we really can't afford that much tape. Does anyone have any tool suggestions that might work?

I am constructing and intricately detailing a beautiful wood cabinet for my DVD movie collection, and for part of the detail, before I preserved the outside with a protective acryllic shellac, I am looking for some of those old fashioned style shipping trunk labels, to randomly place all about the cabinet...

I painted my kitchen a deep red (satin finish) with Valspar pain from Lowes. It looks pretty darn good. I was afraid it would be a streaky mess but actually turned out great with a dark grey primer undereneath. There is however one wall that has like 3 streaks on it. Do you think it would fix the streaks to repaint that wall with another coat of red or would i run too great a risk of making it look really streaky with a second coat?
