Would he be okay if you made the bedroom soft pink and yellow? Seriously, my husband told me a while back when we moved in our house that I can decorate however I wanted to so he should be okay with that then right?

I need them, but I don't know what they're called, so I can't find them! I'll try to explain what they look like.

Square, about 2ft by 2ft.
Colorful, sometimes with pictures or ABCs or something like that.
Edges are like this: _I¯I_I¯I_I¯I_I¯I_ so they can fit together.
Made of rubber or foam-like substance.
You use them to make a rug/mat on the floor.
Sometimes used in kindergarten classrooms.

Where would be a good place to buy them?

Is it better to use darker colors on walls, and lighter colors for trim and accents, or vice versa? My living room has teal carpet (more blue than green) and I was thinking of very light blue walls, but now I'm second guessing myself trying to think of what kind of window accents to use. Should those be lighter or darker than the walls and carpet? Should I use a rug to cover up the carpet that's there? I'm not good at visualizing these things, and the sherwin williams site doesn't have anything close to my living room, and you can't change the color of the floors. Help!

I'm a teacher who ends up standing on her feet all day long usually. My school's flooring is made up of unleveled concrete. My feet swell and hurt by the end of the day. Does anyone know of a place that sells those rubber padded mats that they use at Walmart? By the way Walmart doesn't sell them, I'm talking about the ones the workers stand on sometimes. If you have any other ideas of what I might do to keep my feet from hurting leave an idea. I already where orthopedic shoes.

I am looking to redo our master bedroom, I would like to use a monochromatic color scheme. I am leaning towards a more contemporary look, however my furniture is strictly tradtional(four poster bed) brass hardware. Can I still utilize the look without having to replace the furniture?

Just bought a house this past June. Basement needs finished so kids can have their own rooms and another bathroom, and I need retaining walls to prevent erosion around basement at the back of the house. Can't really afford another loan, but are there grants available for home improvements?
