brown and a more subtle orange, or yellow and red for a really 'warm' room. you could get like lava lamps and stuff and turn it into a retro room, because orange is the perfect color to do that with. also you could make it like a safari room. orange and blue do compliment each other, but i dont think they look that good together.

The orange I'm picturing is not terribly bright, but it's very warm, medium dark.
You could go with gold or dark red; white would be nice. I would avoid trying to match orange with orange, though you could do another tone of orange--much lighter or much, much darker.

On the Color wheel. the opposite of Orange is Blue and on both sides of orange are Red-Orange & Yellow-Orange.
I would chose shades of Blue.
If all else fails, make yourself a colorwheel. If you don't know how?
Email me and I give you the specifics,

. Blue is the complimentary color to orange so that works if you want it to 'pop'. But if you want it to be more subtle, use the two shades on either side of orange. (yellow, and red) Use different shades of these and different print fabrics.
(Or if you want to play it safe you can use ivory/cream bedding and just have 'pops' of color in throw pillows and stuff.

Green goes especially well with orange - reminds me of autumn.
You could also do a brown, a or deep gray-ish blue.

Look for a pattern with light yellow and lime green if you are trying to lighten up the room. Would also look great with white furniture.
