My wife and I are having our first child in April. We currently have two guest bedrooms, one of which will be converted into a nursery. The room that will remain a guest bedroom is 10' x 11' and we are having a debate about which bed we should use.

Option 1:
A full size bed with a nice headboard and matching dresser. The full size mattress is very cheap, light, and not very comfortable.

Option 2:
A queen size metal bed frame, with no headboard or matching dresser. This bed has a very nice, comfortable mattress.

The first looks much better, the second is much more comfortable. Which would you choose?

I want to buy some of this floor LED lighting for my home theater but dont know what its called, I've tried googleing it but not come up with any solid suppliers. its used in the plane floor and cinema floors to direct people to an exit in case of a fire. I think it will look cool in my home cinema, just need to know the name and ideally a supplier. Thanks

installed. They told her they would be there on Thursday. It is now 1 week later and they haven't showed. They don't return her calls and when she does get them on the phone, they tell her they'll let her know. Is there anything we can do??

We are replacing our bathroom floors ... which were carpet (ugh) and aren't sure which is best for our new home. Previous homes have been linoleum. We have 3 kids and 2 dogs.

What do you think? Also, what about grouting stains/problems?

Thanks

So, I've been wanting to give my kitchen a face lift but I am afraid of picking the wrong colors. My kitchen cabinets have a dark brown color and I want to use apples as my kitchen theme. What color would look good? I was thinking of a light red and green door and door frame but I am not sure... What do you think?

The kitchen is gallery style and pretty small (8ft long by 7ft wide). The range is on the right side of the kitchen. I want to move to the left. The distance will be about 7 feet. Also I live in an apartment building. Is moving this range even possible?

I want something that does not attract dust. The one I have is not raw iron, but iron coated...which attracts dust and I have to wipe the seats down everytime I have to sit.

I currently have an Italian leather couch for the kids area but the grooves in the leather are wearing out. Despite the fact that leather is easiest to clean after the kids, I do not want to replace with another leather couch. I feel that leather is cold in winter and sticky in summer. Instead I would like some kind of a fabric where it is easy to clean any spills, popcorn and other dirt marks.

I am remodeling my basement and I am drywalling the walls and putting in a suspended (drop) ceiling. I know when you install a drywall ceiling the ceiling should come first but how should it go when installing alternative ceilings with drywalled walls?

I just opened a half used gallon of white primer/sealer to find small spots of mold on the top. If I get rid of the mold, will the primer still be good? Will it still end up white or should I just toss it? Thanks.

I used to hang those button to cabinet hardware towels, and use them. Think that will take away from "new" kitchen. What type of towels do other people use to wipe hands and where to put it?

Small galley kitchen with Bisque maple cabinets in the shaker contemporary style with bisque appliances. Stainless steel sink, chrome faucet. Light ivory, cream granite (Bianco Romano) with garnet flecks. Tone on tone look. I like oil rubbed bronze for hardware but think chrome or satin nickel would be more modern and tie in the sink/faucet. Also since kitchen is small I was wondering if I could mix handles and knobs for visual interest since color scheme is so neutral. Or would that look too "busy"? Any input would be great. I haven't picked paint or back splash. Overwhelmed!
