Because women like aesthetically pleasing things (aka pretty) and flowers are considered "pretty". And don't take this the wrong way women - but many women will buy "looks" before comfort. At the same time, the floral print mattress is a bit 1970's now - most new ones have plain white pillow tops, etc!

New mattresses do not have any prints, they are only white. They have been offered this way for quite awhile. Could be you haven't purchased new recently.

I don't know. The question for me would be, why any flowers at all in the first place? I don't like them on my bed, period. Reminds me of bad curtains/wallpaper...

haha, that's an interesting question....my guess is they're there to make the mattress look appealing to buyers.
