I'd say Walmart...I got mine for around 80 bucks and its huge has a sliding out keyboard table, just over all nice, metal and plywood big enough to keep a tower and printer on the bottom and speakers cds I think I got lucky. Give it a shot go to the store I wouldn't even bother looking on the internet there really isn't anything promising out there for less than 100 bucks. When it doubt go to eBay you might get lucky.

People are constantly trying to give away good furniture, but most thrift stores don't have space for it. My advice is to go first thing in the morning to as many garage sales as you can find. By mid-morning on Saturday, the good stuff is gone.
Sometimes, you can find real bargains in furniture and other items.
Craig's list in your area is a good option.
Please avoid WallMart for moral reasons. You are removing cash from the community by buying items there.

Canadian Tire or Walmart, and sometimes Ikea.
If you have a rolling drawer unit already, you can build your own Ikea desk for reasonably cheap.
Also, watch for sales... Ikea has Wacky Wednesdays, they drastically reduce the price on one item, every wednesday... but you'd have to get there early, it's only on the stock they have and they don't give rain checks.
Good luck! :)

retail stores like IKEA.
Otherwise, try out tech com companies going out of business and call them. They might even be willing to give it free if you haul them away yourself. Or just post a wanted sign at a college campus.
