my friend has just purchased a 1940s bungalow in the bathroom is a really lovley wash basin and w.c never seeen one like it flowered they are definatley not transfers really art deco got any idea hoe old they would be she doesnt want to keep them but wondered if they would be saleable

It it was my choice, I`d leave them just where they are. What unique items, why would u want to get rid of something so rare. A conversation piece for anyone that comes into ur home. If u must, get an antique dealer to give u an appraisal before u do anything with them.

Very highly prised by a collector or one who is into that era. Have her get an appraisal on it first before putting it up for sale. I suggest that for the fact a friend once sold a vase in a yard sale very cheap only to find out later it was worth thousands

It could be that they're not as old as you think; a company called BC Sanitan does traditional looking sanitaryware with patterns (including floral motifs) on them. They put their name on the inside of the toilets and basins.

Hi - Google Image 'Decorated Toilets', this may help you track it down. If it IS collectible, try and sell it privately. Salvage yards will pay you peanuts for it.
