WOW!
Okay, this is what you do.
Everything in the room should be black and white with small bits of orange accents (and a tiny itsy bitsy bit of yellow).
Bedding not brown - definately black with a few patterned black and white pillows - a small lamp with a design on it - if it could be black and white with a bit of orange you'd be rocking! Bedside table should have a glass vase, get some of those artifical gerber daisys. Maybe three orange and one yellow.
Make sure the prints have a white or black border with the opposite colour frame. And then get one of those fake white furry rugs for the foot of your bed.
For a really nice accent, get a long oval glass bowl and fill it with oranges and lemons or those neat designer stones. Get creative! Have fun it sounds great.
As long as you don't overdo the orange and make it look like you were trying too hard, you'll be fine.
Check out a few magazines at the store and see if you can find some rooms decorated with a very simple black and white colour scheme with a small punch of colour - designers do it all the time. You'll see exactly what I mean
It'll look fantastic!

Depends on the shade of orange.
A bright color looks fantastic with black and white photos. The orange is fine. I would stay away from brown bedding though unless its a rusty orange and you are going for a 70s color palatte. If you want to keep the orange walls go with white bedding. What would also be cool is white bedding with a hot lipstick pink throw pillow :)
if the walls are one of those in between decorator colors where its sort of a "is this orange or is it a pinkish salmony beigey muted sort of thing" than may be a different story

Is painting the room a possibility? I don't think Marilyn Monroe goes with orange and the brown won't go with it either. However, I think using the Marilyn Monroe pictures is a really great idea. When I think Marilyn Monroe I think red, white and black.....very classy and very girly.
Good luck!

Nope, because Marilyn never wore orange.[ peach, maybe ].
Orange with black and white will look like Halloween.
Why not make a Marilyn wall? Paint one wall lipstick red [ her color ], or hot pink [ from the 'Diamond's' dress and put the posters on that [ framed in brass, 'gold' of course. ]. Then paint the rest of the room 'champagne blonde' for her hair.
Brown bedding would work with either color.

Black and white goes with any bright color like orange or red so I think it would look really cool. Brown bedding might not work unless you don't put posters up. Try and get black or white bedding. Keep everything black or white except the walls and it will look really spectacular!

Black and White pictures go with anything. Your brown bedding will go great with the orange. All of it will look great.
My daughters room is lavender. Her window treatments are yellow floral with lavender. Hed bedding is with/w violets. She has black frames on the wall with a colored pic in them and the other wall has black frames w/ b&w Marilyn Monroe pics....looks great. I have a florida room w/ a hot tub in the floor. It is tangerine orange w/white woodwork. I picked the color because it is bright and cheery. I went with a beach theme....fish window treatments, beach pictures, all kinds of nautical items...it was so cute. After almost 3 years, I was sick of the beach theme. I got rid of that stuff, changed to cute yellow floral window treatments and disguised the hot tub with a quilt and bunches of pillows. I have white furniture in there and it is adorable....go for it and have fun. Use black frames. Look for bedding with brown and orange in it....maybe polka dots, stripes or geometic designs. You can pull it off....let me know how it looks!!!!
I thing your room sounds adorable. Go with it and don't worry what anyone would think. You have a very good talent for decorating!

I*m afraid black; white and orange are going to look like you are decorating early for Halloween.
Change the orange to white . or anything but orange even a black wall (one only) would look better than orange.
If you go with brown bedding paint the walls a beige or tan. that will look ok with a black and white theme.

You should have mentioned the pictures first time. They should pop on the orange walls, but don't think the brown bedding will compliment them. Of course it depends on the size of pictures and walls and what your furniture looks like.

The black and white pictures will go fine with brown bedding, just put them in brown frames.
