I'm 14 and im not 2 girly, but... i was thinking a cherry red and dusty rose pink, and maybe a charcoal black and grey. Or i was thinking to add some cherry details. So what does everyone think about that? I need ideas. mjaybe some that would make a room look bigger. Oh and furniture layout ideas would be good too.

i'm decorating my back yard, which has a pool, with fencing around it, and was interested in getting cute lights to put around it with tiki torches, etc. the only problem is that we do not have more than one plug in which is closest to the house..any lights that we could possibly connect to it would have to go through the pool. is there such thing as a portable plug-in device in which you could plug something into without having to make another outlet? if not do you have any other ideas to help me out? thank you so much!

I saw them once and cannot find any info on them now. Who makes them, are they any good? I have an older home (built in 1922) and would like to cool the halls and maybe exhaust the heat into the attic any thoughts short of central air and window units?

Our fire place extends so far from the wall that it literally takes up HALF our living room making the room awkward and so much smaller than it is. I want to have it knocked down but im not real sure what type of "contractor" (or whatever) would do this. What should I be looking for in the yellow pages?! thanks!!!

I'm going to redo my bathroom. I would like to keep the budget low, which probably won't be hard, because it is VERY small. It has a built-in tub, a closet, a toilet, and a sink with a cabinet under it. The floors are terracotta tile, which I would like to keep. The walls and ceiling are textured, but I would like for them to be smooth.
Any tips or ideas on colors (I'm open to anything, but it has to match the terracotta tile) or anything?

Thanks in advance!

The house we just purchased is in urgent need for painting, and we cannot afford it right now. I thought I can go to home depot with some flakes of the current wall color and ask to match the exact color so we can patch the areas that mostly need it. Would that work ?
