I am awash in a sea of misinformation, between what I read about the durability of marble and what the salesman tells me. Is Carrera marble harder than others? Is it difficult to keep clean? Is it too soft for near the sink & stove? Does it stain easily? I guess what I'm asking is....what's the worse that can happen?

I started off wanting to paint the accent (vaulted) wall in my master bedroom a turquoise color. Then I saw a sage green color that I fell in love with. How would it look if I painted the accent wall turquoise and the other walls sage green? Or should I paint all of the walls sage green and leave the turq. as an accent color? The bedroom furniture, dark brown or light maple?
The bathroom that is connected to the bedroom. What color should I paint it?
I want my room to be peaceful, trendy, and sophisticated. (For a 25 yr old!) Help!!

I really like the blackout feature on roller shades. But I rent and will be moving soon. I don't want to spend the money on blackout roller shades for my kids' bedrooms, especially since I have to have them custom made for their windows. Does anyone have any good ideas for alternatives? I don't want blankets, etc. hanging on their windows. Any ideas?

Sooo.. I have a new color scheme idea for my living room.. This is my furniture http://img106.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515new0068jo5.jpg
And I think I have decided to go with light blue walls.. I was thinking of using lighter brown/ almost khaki accent colors (throw pillows, curtains)..and maybe some dark brown? But will it look ok with black end and coffee tables?

32", pre-hung, steel door. I have to remove the old one and install the new one, which the customer has already purchased. Assume that it will fit without triming the adjacent siding, and that there is no inside trim. Caulking and puttying will be included.

I used a program to digitally paint my house and I am leaning toward these colors. Any suggestions? I wouldn't want to use colors that would make my home look smaller, though. I like neutrals instead of blues/grays. See my before/after pictures at http://fixmicasa.blogspot.com/

Ok, my couches are black with zebra print cushions and i have black mouldings and trim. I was planning on painting my walls a light blue color and my fireplace bricks white. This is in my living room by the way. I have an entry hall that leads to my living room and my question is should i paint it blue as well or go with some other color? And if you think another color, what?
