I was told by some coworkers that things where hard to find to replace exsisting fixturing

Mine in Florida was standard sizes. The only thing I found different was the electrical switches. Mine had rocker type and when one went bad, I tried to buy a replacement at a hardware and was told that even though it looked the same, I needed one from a manufactured home dealer. Never did find out why.

Depending on the manufacture. Some Manufactured homes have top of the line equipment in them other have lower quality. It just depends on what you want to pay for.
