Kitchen or bath, how is it holding up? Do you worry about bacteria?

I have experience -currently have one in my kitchen. Don't worry anymore about bacteria with a marble counter-top than I would with other types. I sealed it witha commercial product and even added a coat of wax. As long as you keep a clean kitchen, I wouldn't worry at all.

I work in a marble company... marble and granite have always been perfect for bathrooms and kitchens... if u keep clean there's no need to worry about bacteria... and they hold up like the rock that they are...! but the installation should b done professionally.
polished i would say is better...
