I want to put relatively large size decals on my walls (red and black mod squares). I want to decorate my bedroom walls but when I move out in two years, the walls have to be white again, so I thought decals would be an easy solution. But, I'm not sure how to go about it. I've tried looking online for a company that will do it, but I'm having a hard time. Any ideas to how I can do it cheap and easy?

Go to B&Q and look at their off-the-shelf bathroom suites. They sell a "Toilet To Go!"

Here's the deal. I have about 900 Sq. ft. of floor space that needs to be updated. Currently some of it has cheap linolium, some has worn berber carpet, and part of the space is nice slate that I may consider just leaving and refinishing. But I want to know what is the cheapest flooring I can put in place of all of the old stuff.

It's a small condo, I don't want to sink a lot of $ into it because I'll never get it back out, I'm only going to live her a couple of years.

Please, please, please people, don't say things like "Well, you shold put quality ahead of low price." I know that. But I know nothing about floors and I just want to know what is a relatively low cost option that won't look like dingy, cheap apartment flooring.

Anyone knowing about costs or ways to figure costs; I also appreciate your input.

I have a completely unfinished basement in the Cincinnati area. I want walls, ceiling, carpet, bathroom, and other things that make a basement complete. My question is what is a reasonable price to pay per square foot to get it finished?

What do I do for preperation?
Do I do the edges first or the wall then the edges?
How do I not get paint all over the ceiling and skirting boards?
Can I get away with one coat?
Roller v paintbrush, which is better?

It is a big kitchen and laminate feels so cold. I was thinking of ceramic tiles with under floor heating bu I manage this will cost a fortune.
Any ideas/opinions?
At the moment we have slate tiles and it is freezing. Ideally I would have a carpet but I know that is a 'no no' for hygeine reasons!

I was talking with a friend while working to work and we start to recall certain DIY things that went wrong.
Do you remember the polystyrene tiles back in the 60's well our story is:
My father put them onto the ceiling fine looked nice clean and tidy until we sat down to eat one evening as we got into the conversation one by one the tiles fell landing on the people below!
the whole ceiling was then left without the tiles and all I remember is having fits and tears streaming down my face, poor dad!
Anyone had anything similar?

I want to paint my dining room but do not know where to cut the paint off...My dining room is to left of the front door foyer area so two walls I would not have a problem with painting but the one wall extends into the foyer and to the front door. It is a smooth wall with wood molding about 3 ft off ground, no distinction as you move room to room as the molding continues into foyer. Paint just the two walls & not the 3rd? Make a line and just dont go over it on third wall? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

My entire house was painted a very pale, neutral yellow before I moved in; close to being an offwhite color, but definitely in the yellow family. I want to paint some rooms, but that yellow is everywhere-- hallways, staircases, etc. My concern is that bold colors will really clash with the yellow when transitioning between rooms or doing accent walls. Any suggestions on what would work here without being jarring?
