Whats the best way to convert a tub into a tub/shower combo without doing too much work?? If I owned the place I would do it right, but I rent and therefore I don't want to do too much more than I have to..

If you are talking about a regular bath tub, you can get a rod to hold up a shower curtain. Or, you can add a glass shower enclosure that fits along the edge of the tub from wall to wall. If you have an older claw foot tub there are oval shower curtain rods that allow you to completly enclose the tub. See the websites below.

Oh, sorry. I'm thinking you mean you have to add a shower head to your bath. Well there are kits to do that. There's one link below, but search "shower converter" for more info.

But first, GET PERMISSION FROM YOUR LANDLORD. Some people are really picky about any change you make to their house/apartment.

You can get a new tubspout that has a port to attach a handheld shower. Simple installation usually. If your walls are not waterproof, the other answer was good about the oval shower curtain rod. It suspends from the ceiling and is usually used on the old claw foot tubs but would also work for a standard tub. The handheld shower should also come with a bracket that can be mounted to the wall to hold it, shower height.
