I have remodeled many bathrooms but never one from scratch. I have a mother-in-law type house behind my house that I made from the garage. I framed off a room for the bathroom and ran the electric and planned where I want all my fixtures but I am unsure what to do now. Should I put flooring and drywall up or run plumbing first?

I'm expecting boy/girl twins and I'm struggling on how to decorate the nursery. The room is already painted lilac and the carpet is a few shades darker... it's not in the budget to change that. So this is what I've done to work around that:

The feminine side of the room will have pink floral sheets, a pink bumper, and a beautiful white blanket my mom is crocheting. On the wall will be pink letter hangings. The mobile will be pink and white. The masculine side of the room will have pale blue sheets with a train print on them, a blue striped bumper, and a matching white blanket. On the wall will be blue letter hangings. The mobile will be white and blue. Everything else (lampshades, diaper bins, etc...) will be white.

Is this gender neutral enough?

I want to do my laundry room which is about the size of a closet. there's this ugly old tile on the floor and I was going to put the new stuff right over it. I don't want to remove the washer and dryer but want to cover the area in front of them plus about the first 12 inches underneath them. Vinyl tile is self-adhesive like a band-aid, but the sheet of floorcovering requires you to put down some sort of adhesive-right?

Large den with corner fireplace and big screen tv. Fireplace is in corner opposite tv. Can't move tv because the only place to move it would be on the same wall as fireplace in opposite corner. Need ideas on how to make use of fireplace without tearing it out. Too costly. Fireplace is behind all of the furniture and makes room look backwards and off balance. Please help!!!

I want suggestions on light kits or back lighting that is safe to put in a wall? As it is right now the contractor wants to put tin foil in the wall to act as a reflector and I would prefer he not do this due to safety concerns. Please suggest safe ways to back light a stain glass window installed in a sheet rock and timber wall structure.
