I would paint 3 walss cream and 1 wall( where your bed sits) a choc brown using the new suede effect paint you can buy, really ace stuff.mit looks mint honest, get suede chos curtains or roman blind in cream and brown, nice contrast. then I would invest in a good faux fur in choc for your bed spread. your room will look cosy, edible and romantic (for the other half!). And it dont cost much.
good luck. let me know when its completed.

You don't say how large the room is, or whether the build in wardrobes are painted or paintable?
Obviously the beige carpet would be the starting point, pick a warm beige that complements the carpet and do the window wall and the two connecting walls in that. The wall opposite the window can take a bit more drama, you say you like chocolates etc so you could use that, or a deep red, or a sage green. You could look for one of the new but retro styled wallpapers if you wanted to make a real statement. That way you could introduce more than one colour.

The walls should be a pale toffee colour, slightly darker than your carpet. the skirting board, window frame and wardrobe doors should be pure white to emphasise the toffe and beige and to give it more depth. The curtains should be the same colour as the carpet as should the bedsheets. As your room is west facing make sure the toffee is quite a warm colour so that when the sun sets you will have a totally relaxing and calming room.
Hope this helps....

Why don't you paint 3 walls to match the carpet and then paint the wall where the head of your bed is chocolate brown. If the walls are the same colour as the carpet your room will appear larger especially if your window treatments are also the same beige. Add colour on your bed & on the walls with pictures. Chocolate brown, beiges with tourquoise and/or deep royal blues/ jewel greens or go with red - red orange tones.
Gees, now I want to start redecorating.....

I decorated my bedroom on Wednesday and used a light plum colour from Dulux. The book I chose it from said it was a calming colour and it is. I've gone for a dark plum colour for the carpets however the furniture is light wood. my headboard is coffe colour and it looks great. Wish I could stay in there all day!
Just need to do the rest of the flat now.
Good luck with your decorating.

Try a dulux colour called Lilac Love. It is really pleasing. No extras needed just a nice matt white ceiling and bright white gloss woodwork. Simple and not overstated. I have been an interior decorator for many years and this was my last assignment. Customer was really pleased with it. Also accessories such as curtains are easy as this is a currently popular colour.

I have a chocolate colour behind me head board and on opposite wall, on the other 2 walls I have a light biege colour to contrast the darker walls, and those shelves above the bed with candles, the shelves that look like they are floating, adds a very romantic feel to the room, or can do, remember and dust thier tho lol

I would say go for a mixture of light blue and sage green with creams or whites. Maybe on the main wall, like for example the one your bed would be against, paint it sage green and and the rest of the walls cream or magnolia white. to add a bit more colour, add vases and ornaments etc in a pale blue to add to the relaxing setting. Other good combinations would be lilacs too.

If you dont mind cheap (cheap to some anyway) paint then Wilkinsons do a nice range of neutral colours like deep creams , shades of brown etc. Take a look and pick the colours you'd like.

how about having the window wall a dark chocolate brown and the rest a warm creamy colour perhaps?? then use chocolate as an accent colour like cushions, light fixtures, bedding, curtains and that way you create a warm and cosy room without making it dark by being all chocolate but yet you are incorporating it into the colour scheme =]
