We are extending the ceramic tile from the entry way to the back door, but where it would meet the kitchen floor there is about 6 inches that we would have to cut for tile. We are just wondering if there is a better way to meet the tile. It is the same tile, but cannot have full tiles where it comes together.

If the tile is ceramic on both sides of the gap then you could buy a pretty border ceramic tile to join the two floors. The borders are long and narrow and are perfect for filling in narrow spaces. I used them on a counter top in my kitchen once and it turned out beautiful. The large tiles were one color and the borders had several colors that went well with them. You will be able to find the borders at any home improvement store. Good luck.
