Hey! How much would you expect to pay for the following:
1. Wood and sheetrock to reconstruct a wall where a regular single door was?
2. A gallon of paint? How many gallons would you need for about 12x12 room????? (A light color covering a dark color if that matters how many coats there would be)
3. A closet organizer for a reach-in closet around 6 feet wide. Mostly one w/ shelves and shoe space only small hanging section. Any links for a good closet organizer???

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!! I've had no luck finding any of this online and i want to be able to pull together a good proposition about getting my room redone and i'm having trouble doing this w/out any info!!!!!!!!

Our bedroom door is on the second floor. The door is facing the top of the stairs. The stairs' shape is an L. From the bedroom door, it's straight going down to a landing, turn right and it's the bottom of the stairs. My question is what are the implications of that situation and how can I correct it? Thank you!

How hard will it be to strip the paint and stain the entire bedroom set. Is it worth it to send the set out to be stripped and stained or is this something easy enought to do? The bedroom set is a great size for a nursery and we really love the craftsmanship of the set. How difficult will it be to strip the intricately carved parts of the dresser? Any suggestions on what to use? Thank you!

I am looking to build a duplex zero lot line and sup it up with the basement finished for around $200k . I am also looking at building a single family 3 bedroom 3 car garage that will put me around $220k and not a finished basement. If I was thinking about resale right now which one would you go for?

We have looked into every shade of hardwood, and we have decided to put very dark hardwoods in our foyer (the rest of the room is carpeted.) Are there any known downsides to very dark hardwoods (vs. light floors?)

Have some oldfashioned doorknobs in my house, I think they are brass, and the finish has worn off. Is there any way to bring back the shine?

Other than just hanging up framed artwork----what are some out of the box ideas to fill up my bare walls? There's some exposed brick, and some white walls, and its very New York, so I'm looking to do something cool and different.

I'm thinking of the color scheme of a chocolate milkshake.
chocolate brown, whipped cream white, and cherry red.
Wood floors, a white shag rug, a wood sleigh bed, white walls decorated with pictures and such, and then on the bed a bunch of red and brown pillows, with a big white comforter and a red throw. I wanted something clean and modern, yet still warm and cozy. Is it a cute idea?
