Our bedroom door is on the second floor. The door is facing the top of the stairs. The stairs' shape is an L. From the bedroom door, it's straight going down to a landing, turn right and it's the bottom of the stairs. My question is what are the implications of that situation and how can I correct it? Thank you!

Feng Shui or not, it does not look right to have a bedroom door open directly down the stairs. That is an awful building .design. My guess is that the space of that floor (second? or third in the attic?) was a problem if the roof was an A-frame and the middle was the only place with enough height to fit a door. If that was not the case, then
the house designer was nutso.

How can you remedy this? If it was your house then you , alas , have to make an effort.
For temporary inexpensive remedies, consider a room divider such as a stand alone tall divider between the stairs and the door, and put a planter with a plant in front at either side of the divider.
The Chinese like to put big mirrors as a solution to the same problem. Slant a huge oval stand alone mirror.
Renovate. relocate the door.

Iam not sure what you do want to do about it. The bedroom door is not seen from the main level because of the 90* turn in your stairs. Is it for decorating you are having an issue or is it that you want to remodel it so you can see the bedroom from the main level? There are no implications I would leave it as it is. You don't want to open the whole wall and then you would see the bedroom. If it is just an inside wall I would put a cut out in it about 24" x 24" and fill with glass block so you can get light in from both sides.

i don't think you can do much about the layout of the room and stairs... but then the only thing i remember about feng shui is that you shouldn't have the bed facing toward the doorway
