You would never be able to get it to look right. Try to work around the black color. After living there for some time, you will probably have magnets, notes, etc. on the front and not notice the color. You could also put a large poster or calendar on the front.

I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no paint that you can use that will change the color and then allow you to change it back. The ONLY thing I can think of that may work- and you would have to test it on the side of the refrigerator down the bottom or up the top in the corner, is trying a shelving paper that has a sticky back-- but truthfully, the black will look much better than a fridge with shelf paper on it-------------sorry--------you can always hang a lot of pictures with magnets to cover most of the front.......

Black? hey I am with u.. I would not like a bulky black box in my kitchen too.

I had an old fridge once it worked well but had rusty spots outside. Hardware store sells fridge sprays, worked very fine for my pale white fridge into light blue.

you sort out Ur options, discuss with the hardware staff too before buying the sprays.

All the best...

enjoy ur stay in that house..

Geez, I don't know how you could manage that..the type of paint you would have to use is NOT removable..unless you paint it THEN repaint it black AGAIN over whatever new color you chose ~before you move out:) Tell the landlord it isn't working right, and have him put in a new one...of your color choice??
Good Luck!

if you live in a multi unit, i would ask if there is another vacant unit with a white fridge that you could change with.
I would also ask them if they could take that one out, let you pay less in rent, and you can buy your own fridge.
