There are several approaches you can take that should help you remove the border...

1. If you have a travel steamer, this can be one of the quickest and easiest methods. Start at a seam, and when the border edge loosens, gently pull with one hand as your continue to steam with the other. Continue around the room until the border is removed.

2. If you don't have a steamer, fill a pan with a 50/50 solution of hot water and fabric softener. Again starting at a seam, use a sponge to carefully soak the border. As it loosens, slowly pull away, and then sponge the water/softener mix both on the outside of the border, and along the inside edge as you are pulling it off.

Since you are trying to preserve the wall underneath, you will not want to use the tools that poke holes in the wall paper, or you risk damage to the wall. Also, you will want to be sure to remove all the remaining glue from the wall surface after the border is removed. Again use hot water, and change it often, washing until the wall no longer feels "slimy."

All the best to you!

First, you peel off any paper that comes off easily (top layer of paper). There will be the glue part of the border still stuck to the wall. Once you can access that sticky glue part you spray or wipe with very warm water, let the water soak into the paper for a couple mins and the border will come right off. :)
Hope this helps.

Sometimes it will just peel right off, just do it slowly so that it doesn't tear the walls. If it is stuck to well to do this then get something and cut it (not too deep) and there is some spay that you can get at any home improvement store or walmart and spray it on and let it sit and it should come right off.

Do as Jessica says and if there is a layer of paper left on, while it's wet use a flexible putty knife to scrape it off. You can then use vinegar and water to remove any left over adhesive on the wall. It should come right off though.

go to your local home depot, ask for some DIF and a SCORER. you put the DIF on the wall ( it is a chemical) and you score it and it should come right off.
