I want to replace my mom's countertop with something that looks nice from Home Depot - the cheap formica stuff they have now. My question is how do I deal with the corner? Do I miter it or butt end it? I'm sure this is not the right language but I hope you know what I mean. The counter is L-shaped and I don't know how to manage the corner. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Is there a possibility to stick a fire poll, like to slide down, in my room (2nd floor) to the basement? How much would it cost?

I've tried the cheap air mattresses from stores like Walmart and Zellers and they are not very good. They're too small first of all, waterbed queen is 60" x 84". Second, they don't hold the air very well, you have to top them up every few days. Thanks in advance for any info..

My house has a tiny bathroom in it. At the moment there is a shower in it. A full length bath wont fit but my mother says that there is such a thing as a 'half-bath'... Basically just like a bath but (you guessed it) about half to 2/3 the length.

I'm keen on finding one as it would still have the function of a shower but also alow for things that you need a bath foor - like bathing kids.

I've looked around but can't find anything... There's no way I can afford some sort of expensive bespoke bath, it's got to be cheap.

Anyone know where you can buy a 'half-bath' or a company/website that specialises in very small bathrooms???

Im looking for software that i can type in the dimensions of the room i want to lay down tile in, and then the size of the tile, so it can automatically plot the type of cuts i will need to make before i will actually start laying it down. This would save me alot of time. Thank You

You can buy the ladders, and even have them custom made, but they cost close to 1,000.
I know how to build an angled ladder.
But I am building a loft bed (6 feet high), and I want to have an angled ladder that travels back and forth.
I want it to be safe, and similar in design to the ones at the library, barnes & noble etc.
What hardware would I need, and can I get it at Home depot or Loewes? I am open to interesting ideas.

Most of the wood trim in my early 20th centruy home is stained a dark wood. I purchased the house with all new white windows recently added. As nice as the new windows are for energy bills, with the shades or drapes drawn it looks horrible - the white against the dark wood. I like the wood, but see no other possibilities. Am I making a bigger deal out of it than I should or should I definitely paint the wood white to match? Thanks.
