The kitchen and living room in my condo are basically one big open spoace with a small wall that seperates. My kitcen is a light cream color with white tiles. I need to paint both rooms. Any suggestions on a color scheme. There is very little wall in my kitchen to be painted so I think I need to use the same color?? Any ideas? Thanks

I got from my future aunt-in-law (heheheh) an old Mikasa Torte Plate. I was wondering a coupe of things.

1. What function does a Torte Plate have? Is it just decorative or do you serve on it?

2. I did a search and came up with 2 websites in German. The information I have is it is a Mikasa Carmen Satiert Torte Plate. It was made in Germanyand has Art.-Nr. 1828/0 on the box. Does anyone have any information about this plate? I don't have a date when it was made but it was probably in the 70's sometime.

I bought cheap candles (I know...kicking myself in the *** for beaing a cheapskate) and when we burn them they drip overly much. Anyone got a tricto slow this process down so that we can still enjoy them?

ps. lesson learned, next time I will buy no drip candles...lol

Is there any place in the US where I can find a "small single" size bed? A "small single" is 26 inches wide by 80 inches long. (a "single" at 30" x 75" might work too, but I'd prefer the longer dimension.) I have a limited space to work with, and this is the size that would fit. They appear to be quite readily available in the UK, but I have been unable to find anyone who sells them on this side of the pond.

I am getting ready to paint and I have 2 gallons of flat latex- but looking at it, I think I will need more and I have 1 gallon of satin latex and I wanted to know if I can mix them together. I thought since they are all latex it wouldn't matter, but then I hear it does matter, can someone who really knows help me out? I looked online but I could't seem to find anything...
